About CafeWork

Making remote work feel less awkward.

Two friends, two cities, one mission — turn the cafés around you into great places to work.

Two friends, two cities — meeting halfway over coffee. That's where CafeWork started.

Our story

Picture this: two friends from different cities — one in Amsterdam, the other in Utrecht — who love working together. We'd meet halfway, find a café, order our coffees, and get to work. Sounds simple, right?

Not quite. We'd end up in this awkward dance of over-ordering — another coffee we didn't want, a pastry to justify staying longer, that look from the barista. The feeling of taking up space without contributing fairly took the joy out of the cafés we loved.

So we thought: what if remote workers could contribute fairly, café owners could earn from their space, and everyone could feel good about it? No awkwardness, no guilt — just transparency and fairness.

What we're building

CafeWork connects remote workers with local cafés in a way that actually makes sense for everyone. The flexibility of working remotely, combined with the warmth and community of your favorite local café. No more guilt about a table. No more awkward moments. Just a simple, transparent way to work from the places you love.

And it's bigger than booking workspace. We dream of community events where remote workers actually meet — not stuffy networking, but the relaxed atmosphere of the cafés we all love. Meetups with people on your wavelength.

And hey, the coffee's on us. ☕

What makes us different

Work without guilt

Settle in with your laptop without the nagging feeling. Pay fairly for your time, enjoy your workspace, and everyone's happy.

Honest & transparent

No hidden fees, no confusing pricing. You know exactly what you're paying, and café owners know exactly what they're earning.

Support local cafés

Every booking helps independent cafés thrive. We build up local businesses, not replace them with soulless coworking spaces.

Community at heart

We invest back into community events and connections, because that's what really matters.
